General Department
The General Department of the Anāl Naga Baptist Association (ANBA) serves as the central administrative body of the Association. It is responsible for overseeing the overall spiritual, administrative, and organizational affairs of ANBA in alignment with its vision and mission.
Headed by the Executive Secretary, Rev. KL. Tangthu, the department functions as the executive arm of the Association, ensuring effective coordination among all departments, associations, and local churches. The Executive Secretary provides leadership in decision-making, strategic planning, policy implementation, and communication within the organization.
Key responsibilities of the General Department include:
- Coordinating inter-departmental activities and ministries.
- Managing official correspondence, documentation, and records.
- Organizing Annual Assembly sessions and Executive Council meetings.
- Facilitating church growth, unity, and mission engagement.
- Representing ANBA in inter-church and inter-organizational forums.
Guided by faith and committed to service, the General Department plays a vital role in nurturing the spiritual health and organizational integrity of ANBA.
Finance Department
The Finance Department of the Anāl Naga Baptist Association (ANBA) plays a vital role in the faithful stewardship and management of the Association’s financial resources. It ensures that all funds are handled with transparency, accountability, and integrity to support the mission and ministry of ANBA.
Through its committed service, the Finance Department ensures that ANBA’s financial operations align with its spiritual goals and organizational responsibilities, enabling effective ministry and mission outreach.
Led by the Finance Secretary, Rev. Boonson Tongsin, and supported by Accountant, Ms. Vimla Huten, the department is responsible for:
- Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and reports
- Overseeing the budgeting, allocation, and disbursement of funds
- Managing offerings, donations, and other sources of income
- Conducting regular audits and presenting financial statements during official sessions
- Assisting departments and units with financial planning and execution
- Promoting responsible financial practices and biblical stewardship across member churches
Mission and Evangelism Department
The Mission and Evangelism Department of the Anāl Naga Baptist Association (ANBA) is the driving force behind the Association’s commitment to fulfilling the Great Commission. It seeks to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nurture new believers, and strengthen the mission outreach of the local churches.
Headed by the Mission and Evangelism Secretary, Rev. Sng. John Calvin Anāl, the department leads in planning, coordinating, and executing evangelistic and mission programs both within and beyond the Anāl Naga community.
Key responsibilities of the Mission and Evangelism Department include:
- Organizing mission outreach programs and evangelistic campaigns
- Equipping local churches for effective witness and church planting
- Mobilizing and training missionaries, evangelists, and lay leaders
- Establishing and supporting mission fields and pioneer works
- Partnering with other mission agencies and networks to expand the Gospel’s reach
With a passion for the lost and a vision for the nations, the Mission and Evangelism Department plays a crucial role in advancing God’s Kingdom through word and deed.
Women Department
The Women Department of the Anāl Naga Baptist Association (ANBA) is a vibrant and integral arm of the Association, dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth, fellowship, and active participation of women in the life and ministry of the church.
Led by the Women Secretary, Mrs. H.B. Shangmary, the department seeks to empower women through biblical teaching, leadership development, and involvement in mission and service. It organizes conferences, trainings, prayer movements, and outreach programs aimed at building strong Christian women and families within the community.
A notable ministry of the department is its sponsorship of three theological students currently studying at Living Hope Theological College, an institution run by ANBA. This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to supporting theological education and raising future leaders for the church.
Through its various initiatives, the Women Department continues to be a source of encouragement and strength, inspiring women to grow in faith and serve with purpose in God’s Kingdom.
Education Department
The Education Department of the Anāl Naga Baptist Association (ANBA) is committed to promoting Christ-centered education that nurtures both the mind and the spirit. It plays a vital role in shaping future generations through academic excellence and biblical foundations.
Under the leadership of the Education Secretary, Rev. Sinruwng Manshi, the department currently oversees two key institutions:
• Theophany Christian Academy – a high school providing quality education grounded in Christian values.
• Living Hope Theological College – a theological institution dedicated to training and equipping future pastors, missionaries, and church leaders.
The department also supervises the Christian Literature Sales and Printing Ministry, ensuring the availability of sound biblical resources and literature for churches, ministries, and individuals. In addition to educational oversight, the department is actively engaged in the preparation of Christian educational materials, including:
- Sunday School curricula
- Vacation Bible School (VBS) resources
- Discipleship and teaching materials
The department is also responsible for the printing and publishing of key ANBA resources, most notably:
• The Anāl Holy Bible
• The Anāl Hymnal –Puruwng Piipana
• Other theological and devotional publications
Through its diverse and impactful ministries, the Education Department continues to serve as a foundation for spiritual growth and intellectual development across ANBA’s churches and communities.
Centre for Development Alternative (CDA)
The Centre for Development Alternative (CDA) is the development wing of the Anāl Naga Baptist
Association (ANBA), committed to promoting holistic community transformation through sustainable and project-based initiatives. It serves as a platform to implement development programs that align with the vision of ANBA in improving the socio-economic well being of its people.
Currently, the department does not have an appointed secretary, but is overseen by the Finance Secretary, ensuring continued leadership and coordination of its ongoing initiatives.
The CDA is a government-recognized body, registered under the Manipur Societies Registration Act, 1989, with Registration No. 279 of 1995. Since its inception, the department has undertaken numerous development projects both large and small aimed at empowering communities and churches.
These include:
- Cattle farming and agricultural plantations
- Microfinance programs s
- Skill-building seminars and capacity-building workshops
- Collaborations with like-minded NGOs and development agencies
The CDA continues to play a vital role in the developmental mission of ANBA, blending faith-based service with practical solutions to address local challenges and promote self-reliance among the people.
Youth Department
The Youth Department of the Anāl Naga Baptist Association (ANBA) serves as a dynamic and integral ministry focused on nurturing the spiritual growth, leadership potential, and fellowship among the youth across its member churches. Through organized programs such as youth fellowships, conferences, leadership training, and mission outreach, the department seeks to equip young believers to live out their faith boldly and serve their communities with commitment and compassion.
The department functions under the leadership of the Youth Secretary, Mr. Daryal Thawar Anāl, who is supported by the Youth Committee a dedicated team of leaders representing various youth units within the association. Together, they work to strengthen unity among the youth, promote biblical values, and mobilize young people for active participation in the life and mission of the Church.
